Supporting the Porter House

 

 

The Porter House Museum is one of our area's great historic preservation successes.  Decorah's famous historic house museum continues to attract diverse audiences from northeast Iowa and around the country, including many who are seeking "green" destinations. This is possible because of the wonderful support received over the past forty years from area residents, members, and visitors from around the world.

 

Operating with an impressive volunteer group, the Porter House building, unique rock wall, gardens, and collections are maintained to delight and instruct visitors of all ages.
